Justin Timberlake: Suit & Tie expecting big opening sales week

Justin Timberlake’s return to music this week with his new single, “Suit & Tie ft. Jay-Z,” is expecting to draw some big sales numbers.

Billboard reports label sources suggest that the song may sell around 330,000 - 350,000 downloads by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, January 20. That would easily earn Timberlake his best sales week ever for a song, surpassing the 250,000 that greeted "SexyBack" in 2006.

"Suit & Tie" is exclusively available to purchase via the iTunes Store. It's the first single from his forthcoming third album, "The 20/20 Experience," due later this year. It follows his No. 1 Billboard 200 album "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which debuted atop the tally in 2006.

The song was written by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Shawn Carter, Jerome “J-ROC” Harmon and James Flauntleroy, and produced by Timbaland, Timberlake and Harmon.

VIDEO: Rihanna, Coldplay and Jay-Z close Paralympics

It was an all-star lineup Sunday night in London as the 2012 Paralympics came to a close.

The closing ceremony featured Coldplay, along with guests Rihanna and Jay-Z, as the three artists teamed up for the Olympic Stadium event.

MTV UK reports Rihanna made a grand entrance to join Coldplay on stage, arriving on a wooden ship to sing their hit duet, “Princess of China.”

Rihanna then went on to perform her #1 hit, “We Found Love,” while Jay-Z hooked up with both for a rendition of “Run This Town.”

Jay-Z also sat in with Coldplay for a version of their song “Paradise.”

Coldplay previously described their stint closing the Paralympics as "the biggest night of our lives."

"Being at the Paralympics is the biggest honour,” added Rihanna. “These athletes are gladiators and a true inspiration to me."

Blue Ivy Carter youngest person ever to hit Billboard charts

Beyonce and Jay-Z have a hit on their hands.

Well, make that two: little baby Blue Ivy Carter, for one, and the fact that she’s the youngest person ever to be credited on the Billboard charts.

Billboard reports Blue Ivy’s contribution to Jay-Z's newly-recorded song, "Glory" – which is officially billed as "featuring B.I.C.," enters the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #74.

“Glory” is Jay-Z’s tribute to the new lady in his life, and it features audio of Blue Ivy near the end of the track.

A generation or two ago, Stevie Wonder did a similar thing, including his then-newborn daughter Aisha on his iconic song "Isn't She Lovely.”

B.I.C. claims the mark for youngest charted artist over Wonder's girl because Aisha was never officially credited on "Lovely" and the song did not reach a Billboard chart until January 29, 1977, almost two years after she was born.

Blue Ivy Carter/B.I.C. also benefits from the era in which she born: technology today allows an advantage in that Jay-Z was able to record and release "Glory" less than 48 after her birth.

AUDIO: Jay-Z releases new song featuring Blue Ivy Carter

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s new baby daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, may be the youngest recording artist on the planet.

At least today she probably is.

Proud Papa Jay-Z has released a new song, “Glory,” as a tribute to the new lady in his life, and it features audio of Blue Ivy near the end of the track.

“Most amazing feeling I feel/Words can't describe the feeling for real. Baby I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you, you. Glory.” raps Jay-Z in the opening of the tune.

Blue Ivy Carter was born on Saturday at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital.

Rihanna confirms Jay-Z on Talk That Talk

Rihanna’s been talking that talk, as she confirms a guest appearance by Jay-Z on the title track to her new album, “Talk That Talk,” due November 21.

“Yes sir! Jigga man is on the title track #TTT " she tweeted on Tuesday.

Norwegian production team Stargate actually let the news out first, as reported by Complex.com.

Describing the collaboration as a "mid-tempo banger with hard drums, dirty synths, and Rihanna and Jay at their best," Stargate producer Tor Erik Hermansen added, "We are very happy with the song and Jay’s verse is crazy—same with Rihanna’s part.”

Last weekend, the pop superstar revealed the album’s song list on her Facebook page (see photo above), although the list was not in sequence. And, she was keeping a secret about the project, tweeting that there is “one feature on the album. And we got the best.”

Now we know!
