We are ready and committed to keep the family's legacy alive and perform once again with the highest level of excellence, creativity, and most of all, integrity."

The 27-city tour kicks off June 18 in Louisville, KY, and wraps July 29 in Snoqualmie, WA.

Sony confirms hackers stole Michael Jackson songs

Sony has confirmed that a 2011 attack by hackers has resulted in the theft of the entire Michael Jackson catalogue - including unreleased tracks.

The BBC reports Sony's PlayStation Network was hacked in April, 2011 and the company admitted that the personal details of more than 70 million people may have been taken.

The hack of Michael Jackson tracks is said to have taken place soon after that but has not been revealed until now.

The singer, who died in June 2009 at the age of 50, had recorded unreleased duets with artists ranging from the late Freddie Mercury and Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am.

The Sony Music site also hosts tracks by other artists including the Foo Fighters, Olly Murs and Avril Lavigne, although it is still unclear whether they are affected.

Two men from the UK have appeared in court to deny computer misuse and copyright offences.

James Marks, 26 and from Daventry, and 25-year-old James McCormick from Blackpool, were arrested last May and are due to stand trial in January 2013.

2Cellos to perform on Glee’s Michael Jackson tribute episode

2Cellos are set to make their debut on Glee as part of the Michael Jackson episode on January 31.

They will perform their signature version of "Smooth Criminal" with Santana (Naya Rivera) and Sebastian (Grant Gustin) in the show's special tribute to the "King of Pop."

2Cellos Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser - first caught the attention of music fans around the globe with their dueling cellos version of Michael's "Smooth Criminal," which went on to receive more than 5 million hits on YouTube in less than 3 months.

The Glee performance will emulate their self-made music video of the Jackson classic, the song that subsequently lead to a record deal with Sony and a slot on tour opening for Elton John.

This is the first time that the show has featured an instrumental group as their guest artist.

"It is such an honor to participate in one of TV's biggest shows!" says Luka Sulic, "And performing a song by our idol Michael Jackson makes it that much more special," adds Stjepan Hauser.

Their self-titled debut album was released this summer and features Sulic & Hauser's unique spin on hits by Michael Jackson, Guns N' Roses, U2, Coldplay and Kings Of Leon, among others.

2Cellos are currently on a worldwide tour with Sir Elton John.

Family, friends and fellow performers gather together in Wales in October to pay tribute to Michael Jackson.

One of the invited performers at the Michael Forever Tribute Concert was Beyonce, who explained she had some strong emotional ties to Michael from an early age.

“I remember seeing Michael Jackson for the first time,” Beyonce said. “Lord knows I fell in love. Watching him, I realized exactly what I wanted to be. He inspired me so much. As a matter of fact, the first song I ever performed with Destiny’s Child was a Jackson 5 song. It’s called ‘I Wanna Be Where You Are.’ It was the song we auditioned to get our record deal. It was the beginning of our future. I love you forever, Michael Jackson.”

And with that introduction, Beyonce rocked the Jackson 5 tune; video of her full performance has now surfaced.

Michael Jackson’s deathbed up for auction

It sounds grim, but the contents of the rental home used by Michael Jackson – including the bed he died in – are going up for auction next month in Beverly Hills.

The Los Angeles Times reports ornate furniture,as well as paintings, pinball games, video machines, candles and silverware are among items that will be up for bid in December at a Julien’s Auction event.

Julien's Auctions will even re-create several rooms from Jackson's house, "so people can view the rooms as they were," said Darren Julien, the company's president.

Julien said the items are conservatively valued at $400,000 to $600,000, "but because of the circumstances … could sell for a lot more. It's up to the market to dictate the true value."

More details on the event are available at Julien’s Auctions here.

Michael Jackson’s pyjamas & bed sold at Irish auction

On the same day that Dr. Conrad Murray was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson, some of the music legend’s items raised big money at an auction in Ireland.

The BBC reports a set of silk pyjamas and a bed in which the late singer once slept have been sold at an Irish auction for a total of 8,900 euros (approx. $12,200 US).

An American entertainment company bought the star's pyjamas for 2,700 euros ($3,700 US), while a mahogany bed he slept in was sold to an undisclosed Irish bidder for 6,200 euros ($8.500 US).

Both the nightwear and the carved bed were used by Jackson when he stayed at Coolatore House near Moate, County Westmeath, five years ago; he and his children were there for several months while he recorded at Grouse Lodge studios in 2006.

Conrad Murray guilty in death of Michael Jackson

Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.

An L.A. jury returned the guilty verdict Monday afternoon after deliberating for about 9 hours over 2 days.

The Los Angeles Times reports the 58-year-old cardiologist, who was charged with the lowest possible homicide offense, faces a maximum sentence of four years in state prison and a minimum sentence of probation.

The case was based around several key items, including Murray providing propofol as a sleeping aid (at Jackson’s request) and issues surrounding attempts to resuscitate Jackson at the time of his June 25, 2009 overdose.

Following the verdict, Murray was handcuffed and taken into custody without bail until sentencing on November 29.
