Michael Jackson’s deathbed up for auction

It sounds grim, but the contents of the rental home used by Michael Jackson – including the bed he died in – are going up for auction next month in Beverly Hills.

The Los Angeles Times reports ornate furniture,as well as paintings, pinball games, video machines, candles and silverware are among items that will be up for bid in December at a Julien’s Auction event.

Julien's Auctions will even re-create several rooms from Jackson's house, "so people can view the rooms as they were," said Darren Julien, the company's president.

Julien said the items are conservatively valued at $400,000 to $600,000, "but because of the circumstances … could sell for a lot more. It's up to the market to dictate the true value."

More details on the event are available at Julien’s Auctions here.
