VIDEO: Katy Perry joins Madonna in Los Angeles

Katy Perry joined Madonna on stage at The Forum in Los Angeles on Tuesday during her performance of “Unapologetic Bitch."

Perry was pulled from the crowd and brought to center stage as Madonna and her dancers delivered the final song of the show’s regular set.

Madonna spanked and grinded on Perry as the tune wrapped up, with Katy saying “Thanks, Mom!”

Madonna then thanked her guest and offered her a drink from a banana flask to mark the occasion.

"Sharing a Banana with Katy Perry‼,” posted Madonna after the concert. “Highlight of my show at the Forum!”

"Well, that was unrehearsed," Perry tweeted. "ILY @madonna my QUEEN."

Madonna will wrap up the North American leg of her Rebel Heart tour on October 29 in San Diego, CA. She’ll return to live action in January with dates in Mexico and more US shows.

Earlier this year, “Rebel Heart” debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart with sales of 121,000 copies in its opening week.

Madonna and Drake comment on Coachella kiss

Madonna is making major headlines after planting a kiss on Drake during her surprise appearance with the rapper at Coachella on Sunday.

Madonna hit center stage about halfway through the rapper’s set to perform two hits: 1994’s “Human Nature” and 2005’s “Hung Up.”

As she wrapped up her surprise “mini-set”, Madonna made her way over to Drake and gave him a long kiss as he was seated in a chair on stage.

“Bitch, I'm Madonna," the singer said as she made her exit as Drake wiped away her lipstick and laughed, "What the fuck just happened?"

Madonna faced a backlash from some fans and she responded on Instagram: “If you don't like me and still watch everything I do... B**** you're a fan.”

Music fans and the media have been speculating on Drake’s reaction to the kiss, as he wiped his mouth afterwards with a surprised look on his face.

“Don't misinterpret my shock!!,” wrote the rapper on Instagram. “I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel 💯 about that forever. Thank you @madonna”

Madonna is currently making the rounds to promote her recently-released album, “Rebel Heart.”

Madonna is gearing up for the December launch of her new fragrance, “Truth or Dare Naked.”

The pop icon is appearing naked in a newly-released ad for the product.

The new brand is a companion to her debut fragrance, “Truth or Dare,” and was developed by the same perfumer, Stephen Nilsen.

“Truth or Dare” is billed as a provocative and sexy scent that reveals Madonna’s sensual inner qualities. Blending a sense of richness and flirty femininity, the fragrance is playful yet confident. Lady Gaga turned down duet offer from Madonna

Madonna continues to take shots at Lady Gaga during her current MDNA world tour.

The singer has made repeated references to Gaga throughout the trek and, on Sunday, when Madonna’s show rolled into St. Paul, MN for a date at the Excel Energy Center, the singer brought up Gaga during the concert.

“I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady Gaga!” said Madonna to wild applause from the crowd.

“You know, I invited her on stage to sing with me. But, she turned me down,” added Madonna. “It’s okay. I’ve been rejected before; it’s good to build character.”

The MDNA tour setlist features Madonna covering Gaga’s “Born This Way” as a medley with her track “Express Yourself,” a pairing based on the sonic similarities between the two songs.

VIDEO: Madonna falls on stage in Dallas

Madonna’s MDNA tour rolled into Dallas over the weekend for two back-to-back concerts at the American Airlines Center.

At the first show, on Saturday, Madonna fell on stage while interacting with fans during her smash hit, “Like A Prayer.”

While out on the runway in the middle of the crowd, the singer crouched down and held out her microphone as fans sang the song. Madonna stood up and walked a little further and repeated the move, but this time she took a tumble and fell onstage.

The pop star rolled gently on the runway and regained her footing as the song continued.

VIDEO: Madonna kicks off North American tour in Philadelphia

Madonna kicked off the North American leg of her MDNA world Tour on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

The pop icon pulled an Axl Rose and showed up on stage at the Wells Fargo Center two-and-half hours late, with many media reports saying the crowd displayed their displeasure with a chorus of pre-show boos.

“It’s so good to be back home, and I want to apologize for being late,” explained Madonna. “We had many changes to make from Europe to America, and I wanted the show to be perfect for you because my fans deserve it and quite frankly I deserve it.”

Philly.com reports the still-ripped 54-year-old singer played an often-entertaining hour and 45-minute set weighted towards the electronic dance tracks from her 2012 album MDNA - an abbreviation of her name, and also seemingly a play on the scientific acronym for the drug ecstasy - as well of her 2008 album "Hard Candy."

Madonna issues apology to Australian fans

Despite assurances from Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, that the pop icon would play Australia as part of her MDNA World Tour, it was announced last month that the singer would skip the country for the second tour in a row.

The anticipated MDNA shows would have marked Madonna’s first Aussie dates in 20 years.

"Madonna's tour will end in South America in December as planned. That's all we can say," a spokesperson said at the time.

Now, Madonna has stepped up to offer a personal apology to her Australian fans by way of a recorded youtube message.

“I am really and truly sorry to have disappointed you,” began Madonna. “That’s something that I don’t feel very good about. I was going to write a letter to everybody but I thought it would be better if I just filmed myself and you could hear it from me personally.”

“I can promise you in my heart of hearts that it was my intention to come again but, like the last time, my children are my first priority,”
she continued. “I have two scales that I have to weigh in front of me: my job as a singer and an entertainer, and my job as a mother. Because my children are older, I can’t take them on the road with me everywhere; I have to spend more time away from them. At the end of the year, I really feel that I would be an irresponsible parent if I didn’t stop the tour and spend time with them.”

Madonna kicks off the North American leg of the MDNA tour on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera to appear at Madonna’s L.A. concert

Madonna’s MDNA World Tour has wrapped up its European dates and now gears up for its North American launch on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

As part of the trek, the pop icon will play two shows in several major cities across the continent, including Los Angeles, where she’ll play the Staples Center in October.

According to Madonna’s official MDNA Tour twitter account, the singer will be joined by two special guests in L.A. on opening night, October 10 – Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

“Christina Aguilera will appear at MDNA concerts (Oct 10th & 11th) for a special performance!”, was the first in a series of tweets, followed by “Britney Spears will attend MDNA concert in L.A. (Oct 10th)!”

The account then hinted at something more…

“So both Britney and Xtina will be attending MDNA concert in L.A. I already imagined some special performance with M like from VMA's 2003...”

The three singers made headlines at the 2003 MTV VMAs, when Madonna kissed each of the girls during their performance.

VIDEO: Madonna delivers human rights speech at Russian concert

Madonna’s MDNA world tour rolled into St. Petersburg, Russia Thursday night amid threats of violence against the pop superstar.

Tensions were high following Madonna’s concert in Moscow on Tuesday, when the singer expressed support for Russian punk band Pussy Riot, who have made international headlines for being in custody for five months after giving an impromptu performance in the city’s main cathedral to call for an end to President Vladimir Putin's rule. The band’s trial wrapped up this week and a verdict is expected next week.

The issue has garnered international attention as prosecutors seek a 3-year jail term for the trio on charges of hooliganism motivated by religious hatred for their “punk prayer.”

On Thursday, Madonna spoke at length during her St. Petersburg show about human rights issues.

“We want to fight for the right to be free,” began the singer. “To be who we are. It’s a very strange time in the world; I’m traveling around the world and I feel it in the air. I feel that people are becoming more and more afraid of people who are different. People are becoming more intolerant.

“It’s a very scary time, but we can make a difference,”
she said. “We can change this: we have the power. And we don’t have to do with violence, we just have to do it with love.”

Madonna then went on to discuss gay rights and human rights in general, referencing the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., before addressing religious issues.

"It's in every holy book: love thy neighbor as thyself," she said. "You cannot use religion to treat other people badly. Let's all go out into the world and spread this message of love, and live our lives without fear."

Madonna doesn’t care what Elton John says

The Elton John-Madonna feud heated up again this week following comments by Elton in an Australian interview.

“Her career is over, I can tell you that,” Elton told Molly Meldrum at Saturday Night. “Her tour has been a disaster. It couldn’t happen to a bigger c***.”

He also slammed her choice of material for the “MDNA” album, saying “If Madonna had any common sense, she would have made a record like ‘Ray of Light’ and stayed away from the dance stuff, and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly.”

Madonna has not commented publicly on Elton’s recent attack, but a friend of hers reportedly told the Huffington Post, "I honestly do not understand his need to trash the crap out of her over and over again. He says she has no authority, but apparently he has authority? He needs to hate on her."

“To say her tour is a disaster is just silly. She is selling out arenas, singing new material and a few classic hits. He will be singing the same old songs until he dies,” added the source.

"Ultimately, she doesn’t care what he has to say about her in public or private," summed up the friend. "She has nothing to prove to anyone, especially Elton John."

Elton John: Madonna’s career is over

Elton John has elevated his long-standing feud with Madonna, telling an Australian interviewer that the pop superstar’s career is “over.”

“But no, she had to prove that she was like…”
he paused, adding, “and she looks like a f*****g fairground stripper."

The Elton-Madonna feud goes back several years, and went high profile during the Golden Globe Awards in January, when Elton’s partner, David Furnish, called the singer “embarrassing” after one of her songs beat out Elton’s to win the Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

Elton then took a shot at Madonna, telling her to “lip-sync well” during her February appearance at the Super Bowl.

VIDEO: Madonna – watch complete Paris concert

Madonna made headlines this past week when she played an intimate club show in Paris that was also streamed live on the internet.

The concert was held at the historic Olympia Theatre, which was founded in 1888 and has been the site of legendary shows by performers such as Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour.

As part of her MDNA world tour, Madonna played a 45-minute set for about 2,000 fans.

“Playing the Olympia was a magical moment for me and it was real treat to do this special show for my fans and be so close to them,” she said. “Unfortunately at the end of the show - after I left the stage - a few thugs who were not my fans rushed the stage and started throwing plastic bottles pretending to be angry fans. The press reports have focused on this and not the joyous aspect of the evening. But nothing can take away or ruin this very special evening for me and my fans. When I looked out in the audience, everyone I saw had a smile on their face. I look forward to having this wonderful experience again.”

Media reports suggest many fans were disappointed that the concert was less than an hour, which prompted Madonna’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, to issue the following statement:

Madonna’s Paris club show was planned as her heartfelt thank you to France which she expressed at the start of her show. Despite a grueling concert tour, she desperately wanted to perform for her fans in an intimate setting at the historic Olympia as a means to honor her love for French artists, French cinema and a tribute to France’s long history of welcoming and inspiring artists, authors, painters, poets and minorities from other countries over the years.

The show was not billed as her full MDNA concert and tremendous effort was made to keep the ticket prices reasonable ($100 for 2000 floor seats) and keep them strictly for her fans.

The show cost Madonna close to a million dollars to produce. She has done a handful of club dates in the past and they were never more than 45 minutes. And by the way, she put on a fabulous show which was streamed for millions of fans around the world.”

You can now watch the full show below.

Madonna scraps Australian tour plans

Madonna will not be bringing her MDNA world tour to Australia.

The BBC reports the pop icon has cancelled her upcoming tour dates, which would have been her first in the country in 20 years.

The singer's concert promoter, Live Nation, confirmed the cancellation overnight on Tuesday, but did not give any reason.

"Madonna's tour will end in South America in December as planned. That's all we can say," a spokesperson said.

Madonna was due to confirm 2013 summer dates earlier this month but was delaying the announcement until after the Olympics.

The pop star also bypassed Australia on her last two tours, citing logistics and financial reasons for pulling out.

The news is a complete reversal of comments and commitments made by Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, in a question and answer session with fans shortly after the Sticky and Sweet tour ended in 2009.

"Madonna really needs to go to Australia," he said. "Unfortunately it didn't work out for this tour. She appreciates her Aussie fans coming to many of the shows. We are long overdue for a trip Down Under and apologize for that. It will happen.''

This week, Madonna’s MDNA tour hits Birmingham (Thu) and Edinburgh (Sat).

Madonna has released the video for “Turn Up the Radio,” the latest single from her “MDNA” album.

Directed by Tom Munro, who was also behind the singer’s 2008 “Give It 2 Me” video, the clip was shot in Florence, Italy last month during Madonna’s MDNA tour stop in the city.

The tune follows the project’s first two singles, “Give Me All Your Luvin” and “Girl Gone Wild.”

Madonna continues her MDNA world tour with shows this week in London (Tue), Birmingham (Thu) and Edinburgh (Sat).
