Maroon 5’s Adam Levine starts own record label

Maroon 5’s Adam Levine has started his own record label.

Billboard reports the singer’s 222 Records has already signed its first artist: Matthew Morrison, best known as the character Will Schuester from "Glee," whose sophomore album will be released on the label in the Spring.

"Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening," said Levine, who kicked off his second season on "The Voice" Sunday night after the Super Bowl. "Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release."

"Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together,”
added Morrison.
