VIDEO: Selena Gomez promotes MTV Europe Music Awards

The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards happen in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Sunday, November 6.

The Awards show will span three different venues in the city, including the show’s main site, the Odyssey Arena, while City Hall will be the showcase for sets by Snow Patrol and Jason Derulo, and, the third EMA stage will be at Ulster Hall, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers rocking an hour-long set – one track will be featured on the live broadcast.

Other major performers at the event include Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Jesse J and LMFAO.

The producers recently announced that Adele has been voted Best UK & Ireland Act of the 2011 MTV EMA. Adele will now compete with 22 fellow winners from across Europe for the chance to represent the continent in the 2011 MTV EMA Worldwide Act category, which celebrates diversity and the breadth of all the music that MTV has to offer from all corners of the world.

The show will honor Queen with the Global Icon Award this year; the band will play a special performance on the program.

Selena Gomez is gearing up for her hosting duties at this year’s event; she’s recorded a promo for the show, where she is actually joined by – herself.

The two Selena’s congratulate themselves for being the “hostess with the mostest,” while rapping about her climb to the top of the charts.
