Psy releases Daddy and Napal Baji videos

Psy has released a pair of videos from his newly-released project, “Chiljip PSY-da”, whose title translates to "This Is Psy's Seventh Album.”

The Korean rapper has issued clips for the singles “Daddy” featuring 2NE1 singer CL, and “Napal Baji.”

“Chiljip PSY-da” features guest appearances by will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas, Ed Sheeran, Junsu of K-pop band JYJ, and Zion T.

“Daddy” quickly racked up more than 500,000 views in the first few hours online on Monday.

Psy became an international sensation following the 2012 smash, “Gangnam Style”, which went on to surpass 2 billion YouTube views.

"I don't think another success like Gangnam Style will happen to me again," said Psy during the press conference for his new album at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeouido, Monday, reports the South Korea Times. "It is a miracle when songs full of Korean lyrics gain worldwide popularity. I cannot compare the new track Napal Baji to Gangnam Style and I don't want to. Gangnam Style has become a song that is too heavy for me."

Psy will perform at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) in Hong Kong on December 2.

The rapper is also scheduled to have end-of-year concerts from December 24 to 26 under the heading "All Night Stand 2015 Concert God Psy" at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea.

The video for the song, which appeared on the EP, “Psy 6 (Six Rules), Part 1”, was the most-watched YouTube clip in each of the past 3 years.

Psy performs US finale of Gangnam Style

Psy brought his massive international hit, “Gangnam Style,” to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

Prior to the Times Square performance, the Korean rapper revealed via Twitter that the performance would be “Gangnam finale.”

"I'm really working hard on a new single right now, and I'm not saying ['Gangnam'] is ending on 'Dick Clark' - I still have a lot of invitations to perform it ... I'll be in Paris, and in February I got invited to perform in China, and I've still got to do promo," he said, according to Billboard. "So let me say that in America I need a new single because 'Gangnam Style' got too popular, so I've got to write a new single."

Psy was joined in New York by some of the actors/dancers from the original video, as well as special guest MC Hammer (see photo of Psy and Hammer above).

VIDEO: Psy brings Gangnam Style to Jimmy Kimmel

Psy has taken the world by storm with his infectious hit, “Gangnam Style.”

The video for the song was recently named the most-like video in the history of YouTube by the Guinness World Records.

“Gangnam Style,” which has only been available to view since July 15, has been 'liked' in excess of 2,141,758 times, making it the most liked video in YouTube history.

This also marks the first time a South Korean artist has topped the iTunes charts.

Dan Barrett, Guinness World Records Community Manager, comments, "Having been the "Have you seen this?!" video of the last two months across the web, it's great to be able to award a record for this tremendously popular video. In years past it was unthinkable that something would be viewed a hundred million times, and now 'Gangnam Style'" has achieved more than twice this figure in just 3 months on YouTube."

On Tuesday, Psy performed his smash hit on Jimmy Kimmel’s show.

MASHUP: Carly Rae Jepsen vs Psy – Call Me Gangnam

Two of the hottest songs of 2012 – Carly Rae Jepsen’s "Call Me Maybe" and Psy’s “Gangnam Style” – have been remixed into a new mashup.

Jepsen’s smash single “Call Me Maybe,” has sold more than 7.3 million singles worldwide and spent 9 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this summer, giving her the longest-running US chart-topper of 2012.

South Korean rapper Psy’s “Gangnam Style” is the latest smash of the year; released in July, the video has more than 259 million youtube views as of Sunday.

Jepsen’s debut album, “Kiss,” was released last week; she hits the road with pal Justin Bieber on his “Believe” tour of North America, which kicks off September 29 in Glendale, AZ.
