“Call Me Maybe ”'s 9th week set the new record after being tied with Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," which held down top spot for 8 weeks earlier this year.

“9 weeks at #1 on Billboard. Insane. Feeling high as a kite. Thank you!,” posted Jepsen. “My new album "KISS" will be released on September 18th!!!!”

Earlier this week, Jepsen announced the upcoming release of her debut album, “Kiss.”
