American Idol’s newest judge, Mariah Carey, returns to action this week with the release of her new single, “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” ft. Rick Ross and Meek Mill.
Mariah has posted the cover art for the song, as well as a picture of herself relaxing at the video shoot (below), writing, “On the set of the Triumphant (Get ‘Em) video shoot. Get ready for a triumphant week, we have surprises every day!”
“I wrote Triumphant when I was going through a difficult time,” Mariah wrote recently, “And it helped me get through it. When you hear it, pay attention to the message and the lyrics. #WIN”
The song is set to premiere this Thursday, August 2.
The superstar joins American Idol when it returns in January.
