Whitney Houston’s music sales surge following death

Whitney Houston’s untimely death this past weekend has led to a huge increase in sales of her music.

Billboard reports “Whitney: The Greatest Hits" album could re-enter the Billboard 200 chart's top 10 this week, based on early sales projections.

Industry sources suggest that the album could sell over 50,000 copies in the day-and-a-half after her passing on Saturday; that sum would enable the hits collection to re-enter the top 20 of the chart easily - if not the top 10.

The top 10 of the new Billboard 200 album chart will be revealed on Wednesday, where it is expected that either Adele's "21" or Van Halen's new "A Different Kind of Truth" will top the list.
