Uptown Funk closing in on US chart record



Mark Ronson’s smash hit, “Uptown Funk”, is closing in on a US chart record.

Billboard reports the song – which features Bruno Mars on vocals – has tied for the second-longest amount of weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

With 14 weeks on top, “Uptown Funk” ties six other songs for second place as it closes in on the chart record of 16 weeks held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s 1995 hit, “One Sweet Day.”

“Uptown Funk” appears on Mark Ronson's fourth studio album, “Uptown Special.”

The single has already sold more than 5 million copies in the States alone and more than 1.2 million in the UK. Fans can purchase it from iTunes or from the Amazon link above.
