The record debuted at the top of the charts in many countries, including the US, where it landed at #1 on the Billboard 200.

“Believe” sold 374,000 copies to become the biggest debut sales week for an album in 2012, bumping Madonna’s “MDNA” for that title.

A few weeks ago, Justin played a private acoustic concert for about 60 fans in Berlin, Germany.

During the set, Justin and his guitarist performed four tracks:

* All Around The World

VIDEO: Lana Del Rey – National Anthem

Lana Del Rey is turning heads with this week’s release of her new video for “National Anthem” from her "Born To Die" album.

The clip features Del Rey playing Jacqueline to A$AP Rocky’s John F. Kennedy in a throwback to early 60s America.

"Lana was really interested in exploring this loss of innocence, this idea that what you think you're experiencing is maybe not what it's always going to be," director Anthony Mandler told MTV. "Because when you say 'Kennedy,' that immediately evokes something ... so I think using that power, that pedigree of the story is a really fascinating place to show the loss of something, the breakdown of something."

In the opening of the video, Del Rey plays Marilyn Monroe as she recreates the movie icon’s version of “Happy Birthday” as sung to Kennedy.

Lana is currently playing a series of dates on the European festival circuit; she’ll tour Australia starting late next month.

VIDEO: Lady Gaga debuts new song in Australia

Lady Gaga debuted a new song during a concert in Melbourne, Australia Wednesday night, the first of five dates in the city.

When introducing “Princess Die,” Gaga was sure to spell the title “D-I-E” from the stage at the Rod Laver Arena.

“This song may or may not be on my next album,” said Gaga. “I wrote it a little while ago and I’ve never, ever played it for anyone. This song is a little bit sad and it’s in no way reflective of the rest of the music on the album.”

The pop superstar then performed the song while sitting at her motorcycle piano.

The Australian portion of Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tour wraps up July 7 & 8 in Perth.

Justin Bieber tops US album charts

Justin Bieber’s “Believe” debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.

Billboard reports "Believe" sold 374,000 in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan, earning the 18-year-old his fourth US #1 album.

"Believe" registers the biggest debut sales week for an album this year, surpassing the 359,000 start of Madonna's "MDNA."

Justin also scores his own personal best sales week, beating the 291,000 that "My World 2.0" sold in its second week back in April of 2010.

"Believe" was led by the hit single "Boyfriend," which debuted and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The set's second official single is "As Long As You Love Me," and its radio promotion will begin in earnest on July 9.

The full Billboard chart will be posted on Thursday.

Earlier this week, Bieber debuted at the top the UK album charts, as well, to earn his first UK #1.

Jessie J sued for copyright infringement over Domino

UK pop singer Jessie J is being sued for copyright infringement over her hit single, “Domino.”

Billboard reports the lawsuit, filed by singer Will Loomis in Newport, California, names Jessie J (real name: Jessica Cornish), Universal Music Group, Lava Records, and Universal Republic Records as defendants in a case in which Loomis claims that large chunks of his 2008 song "Bright Red Chords" were taken for "Domino," which was released in August 2011.

"Mr. Loomis never consented to the use of his song," writes the singer's lawyer Chris Arledge in a statement, "and we look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."

Loomis uploaded a video to YouTube comparing the two tracks side-by-side in April, overlaying the vocals from his track with the backing track of "Domino" to show the similarities in vocal phrasing. Watch the video below.

"Domino" spent 24 weeks on the Hot 100, peaking at #6.

Jessie J's debut album, "Who You Are," peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last year.

Spice Girls reunite to promote London musical

The Spice Girls reunited in London Tuesday to promote the launch of Viva Forever!, a new musical based on their hit songs.

The BBC reports Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell were on hand to help unveil the show at a central London hotel.

"We're going to be introducing a whole new generation to Girl Power," said Beckham.

Written by Jennifer Saunders, the musical explores the "bitter reality of fame" brought by a TV talent show. The show is the idea of Judy Craymer, producer of Abba musical Mamma Mia!

The launch event was held in the neo-Gothic St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the location where the Spice Girls filmed the video for their breakthrough hit, “Wannabe,” in 1996.

Reunited on the same podium, the five ex-bandmates exchanged banter about Halliwell's exit from the group at the height of their fame in 1998.

"I've got to say these girls are amazing and brilliant and loving," said Halliwell. "Every time I see them, and I don't see them that often, independently and collectively they're really lovely. I'm really grateful to have good friends like this."

"To have our songs performed night after night in a theatre is an honor for us," Chisholm added.

"My little boy doesn't know who we are, so I can't wait for him to see this," said Bunton.

Viva Forever! opens at London's Piccadilly Theatre on December 11.

VIDEO: Maroon 5 – One More Night

Maroon 5 are back this week with their fourth album, “Overexposed.”

Frontman Adam Levine told Rolling Stone that the project is "one of our most diverse and poppiest albums yet."

"'Moves Like Jagger' [from 2010's Hands All Over] was the first time we ever worked with an outside writer, so we decided to try it some more on this record," guitarist James Valentine said in a statement. "At this point in our career I think it was a good thing to completely mix up our process and it yielded good results, as well as a more collaborative spirit within the band. We wanted to make something that sounded contemporary with the elements of a lot of early eras of pop music. This is our most 'pop' record ever and we weren’t shy about really going for it."

Maroon 5 have issued the video for the album’s new single, “One More Night.”

AUDIO: Rare unreleased Lady Gaga song surfaces online

A rare, unreleased studio track by Lady Gaga has surfaced online.

“Glitter & Grease” was the only unreleased jam that Gaga performed on her 2010 Monster Ball tour.

The lyrics of the song describe the relationship Gaga had with Lüc Carl in 2007 and, in particular, the love he had for his car (Nadine), a watermelon green Chevrolet El Camino.

Gaga sings “He tells that he loves me / And even though I’m real sexy / He loves his car, car, car / He’s always with his car / Car / Car / So I rub that glitter and grease around.”

Gaga, in the meantime, continues her Born This Way Ball tour with a series of shows this month in Australia.

Rihanna to star in new animated film

Fresh off her acting debut in “Battleship,” Rihanna has been selected to star in an upcoming animated film for DreamWorks.

Billboard reports Rihanna and "Big Bang Theory" star Jim Parsons will play the lead voices in "Happy Smekday!," a DreamWorks Animation adaptation of the award-winning book "The True Meaning of Smekday" by Adam Rex.

This will be the voice acting debut for Rihanna.

In "Smekday!," a friendly alien race invades Earth and uses it as a hideout from their mortal enemy. When one lowly alien accidentally notifies the enemies of his whereabouts, he is forced to go on the run with a teenage girl, embarking on a comical road trip across a postapocalyptic America and learning what it really means to be human.

Tim Johnson, who co-directed "Antz" and "Over The Hedge," will direct "Smekday!," which the studio hopes to release during the fourth quarter of 2014.
